XL The Beast (The Kreators) has been steadily re-introducing himself back into rap game after a hiatus with the re-release of Man In The Bottle and Spare Change (EP). The World Today feat Skyzoo is the first new release from the Massachusetts lyricist and songwriter and is a power of example of what to expect from the New England Heavyweight’s upcoming Heavy Hands LP.
“The World Today” is produced by German beat maker Shuko who set the tone instantly upon sending the instrumental to XL. “When I first heard the beat I had been watching an interview with Billy Danze of M.O.P. talking about how these days people act slick behind a keyboard or a phone online. I couldn’t agree more! The chorus rushed into my head and by the time I parked the whip, the chorus was written along with the outline of the song. I been a fan of Skyzoo from the jump and could hear his voice on it all day” says XL. The catchy hook and melody is indeed mesmerizing as XL harmonizes in a unique fashion while providing truth and character in his bars. Skyzoo adresses the topic at hand while smoothly riding the beat in true NY fashion. Both MCs rightfully standout as a combo making their talents and points understood.
