Connor Cassidy “Phoenix” LP

Connor Cassidy, a Massachusetts rapper and guitarist, releases his highly anticipated debut album PHOENIX. The album features 21 songs and 7 music videos, including fan favorites such as Family, Guillotine, & City Lights. At its core, the album is a lyrically rich, value-driven project that captures Cassidy’s quest for self-mastery and transcendence.

“With my debut album, I wanted to make a concrete statement of who I am & what I’m about. This proved difficult, as I find myself changing daily. Nonetheless, the core of what I value: family, nation, intelligence, and the search for enlightenment shined through in full color. The PHOENIX is a symbol of alchemy & self-mastery. It’s also a location that’s responsible for expanding my imagination and sense of clarity during a three-day excursion: Phoenix, Arizona. On my journey, every step of true progress has been made by overcoming resistance – by walking through some form of tailor-made fire. Thus, I’ve come to believe that there’s always a jungle between where we’re at and anything worthwhile and that ultimately we’re alive to evolve, transcend, and become stronger. The project was recorded mostly at The Bridge Sound & Stage with James Corbett & written over the last two-years as Connor attended Northeastern University as a Finance major. It includes features from Kyle Bent, Joey Eldracher, and SoSpecial Music Group. To date, the music videos from the album have collectively racked up over 2 million views & 8,000+ shares on social media, with Family being the most well-received. With the virus still in full effect, Connor has cancelled all shows and is remaining put in his hometown of Norfolk, MA making beats and sound-engineering for other artists.
