10 years ago Hip Hop lost one of its best MCs, Guru (Gifted Unlimted Rhymes. Universal) of Gang Starr. To celebrate his legacy DJ Premier played a tribute set on his IG LIVE that was “Everything GURU” and claimed today as Gang Starr Appreciation Day. Ive seen Premo dj a lot but this one was extra special because in addition to Gang Starr joints he played Guru solos plus rare and deep cuts that even I had to scour the internet years ago just to hear.
