His latest video Off The Path FT. El Da Sensei was shot in Newark, NJ among friends and family directed by El himself and Big Joker. The actual song was derived from a prog rock sample at a record sale. “Ive been an Artifacts fan since i was in high school so I have a pretty good ear for his style” says Moemaw. The track is featured on his collaborative album River Rats with fellow PA producer C.Scott. “We both see the sonic side of Hip Hop from similar perspectives, crate digging, and sampling being the root”says Moemaw. “Because this is the first Hip Hop album I’ve gotten an opportunity to produce front-to-back, I wanted to make sure that I included skits and interludes to engage the listener and pay homage to that tradition in the craft of album making” says C.Scott. The project’s title was inspired from having to hang outside cause of Covid-19 at the shores of the Alleghany River drinking, smoking, building fires, and playing beats out of bluetooth speakers while discussing life.
