Riverside, California native Oshea Boyd is an artist deeply connected to his roots. He’s musically influenced by artists with a message that are able to capture certain emotions through their music. “I never try to be like anyone, yet I am a student. I adopt a certain mindset and approach with my sound in reflection of those who created music with a purpose” says Oshea.
His latest single Heaven FT. Skyzoo and production by Stop Dreamin’ Records producer Ckwnce speaks of the everyday grind for survival. The music video which was shot by Atlanta director Hi Deph highlights the hustle of the people in Atlanta. It creatively shines light on a group of kids known in Atlanta as, The Water Boys. These kids are known throughout the city for their aggressive approach to earn money by selling bottles of water. “Knowing the ups and downs of that hustle and just the means to survive creates this tone on the video that gives off the opposite of a happy concept…it’s just real. Until we can create our own version of Heaven, which is just that peace of mind, body and soul, we will live amongst this reality” says Oshea.
