Smoovey is a midwest rapper from St. Paul Minnesota. He turned to street life at the age of 14 which eventually led him to federal time in prison. While incarcerated he began writing rhymes and rapping everyday. After being released he returned to hustling but eventually gave it up when close friends got imprisoned. “The last straw for me was when a few of my homies went to the feds and sentenced to more then 10 years. That’s when I told myself there is no streets. Time to take music seriously!” says Smoovey.
His latest video Vultures City Freestyle is a swagger statement highlighting his lifestyle over a favored industry beat. Directed by Ko Goloud, the visuals were purposely shot in Detroit to capture the vibe of the city and track. Check it out now on Youtube.
